In early 2019, Kimberly and Edward McDuffie knew they wanted to embark on a new adventure. After endless hours of brainstorming, they decided to take Edward’s love of construction and design and Kimberly’s love for events and create a venue that would be the perfect fit for any party, wedding, shower, or reunion. Kimberly and Edward stumbled upon a large piece of property including a pine tree forest and picturesque lake. Given that the property consisted of 62 acres, Kimberly and Edward decided upon the name of “The Sixty-Two.”
The vision of The Sixty-Two was to create a contemporary and lavish event venue with pristine architecture and design. From the road, the venue sets back just beyond the lake, with a fully-covered porch. The ends of the building are enclosed by large glass garage doors, perfect to raise during the summer months for a refreshing current of air. The main room is adaptable for any type of event. It has the capability to be set up for a wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, birthday party, bridal or baby shower, or any event you wish to host. An industrial kitchen is adjacent to the main event area, perfect for all of your catering needs. Beyond the kitchen, and accessible from the main event space, your eye will be caught by the substantial, hand-built masonry fireplace in the sitting area. A bridal suite and additional room are located in the back of the main building.
